On October, 24, I (Neka) , Khalista,
Adinda, and Iftakhul went to “Taman Mini Indonesia Indah”. We went by public
transportation after class. We wanted to visit telecommunication museum. We
visited it because we had one task from our lecturer to visited museum and made
a story about our trip. We went by public transportation numbered 19 from Depok
to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).
After one hour, we arrived at TMII.
We entered TMII and paid admission fee at the price of Rp 9.000,- for weekday.
If we came on weekend the admission fee was Rp 10.000,- . After that, we walked
to telecommunication museum which located at the right of the TMII’s entrance. To entered that
museum we paid admission fee again at the price of Rp 2000,- . It was cheaper
than TMII’s admission fee.
Next, we entered the first room of
telecommunication museum. At the first room, we could find some old telephone.
We could touch and play it. We were amazed to play and saw many old telephones.
After that, we went to other room. In the middle of museum building we found Indonesian
island miniature. We saw many old telephones too but telephones in the middle
museum were placed in showcase.
Next, we were up to the second
floor. At the second floor, we found some telephone cards and scheme of
telecommunication network in Indonesia. We saw satellite miniature too. After
that we saw the mannequin who gave example of how to made telephone. Unfortunately,
we didn’t up to the third floor because the air was so hot. So we down to the
first floor again.
As long as we in the
telecommunication museum, we saw many breakdowns on the building or properties.
I saw broken roof, broken lamp and broken cables. The broken cable caused
some props could not be used
anymore. The broken roof also made leaks when the rain came. It made the building's floor wet because flooded from rain drop.
A lot of information we
could get from the telecommunication museum but unfortunately because
of the building and the props were damaged, the visitors who came to the
museum be decreased. After finished visit
telecommunication museum, we took some photos together. When afternoon came, we
went at home. Khalista went home by public transportation to Pondok Gede, while
I, Adinda and Iftakhul went home to Depok. We were happy went to
telecommunication museum. We said, we wanted to come to other museum or other
recreation place at TMII when holiday, soon.
